PRINCIPLES IN PRACTICE

Values & Initiatives

Our values guide how Studio Orris works. Our initiatives put those values into practice — through talent development, responsible business, applied innovation and meaningful contribution beyond the brief.

Impact & Responsibility Report 2026

WHAT GUIDES US

01

Clarity

We simplify complexity and create clearer direction — helping organisations make stronger decisions with greater confidence.

02

Purpose

Strategy comes before execution. Every decision, system and creative outcome should have a clear reason for existing.

03

Collaboration

We work with organisations, not simply for them — combining Studio Orris expertise with the knowledge, ambition and perspective of the people behind the business.

04

Responsible Progress

Growth should be commercially sound, considered and sustainable. We look for solutions that strengthen performance without losing sight of people, context or long-term impact.

05

Enduring Value

We aim to build work that continues to create value beyond a single project — through stronger brands, better systems, capable teams and more resilient organisations.

01

Early Careers & Emerging Talent

We aim to create meaningful opportunities for emerging talent to learn, contribute and develop perspective across brand, business, people and technology — with an emphasis on practical experience, thoughtful guidance and sound judgement.

02

Responsible Practice & Sustainability

We continue to examine how responsible choices can shape our own operations and the work we develop with clients — from more efficient systems and considered use of resources to better long-term decision-making.

03

Innovation & Applied Technology

We explore technology where it can solve a real problem, improve capability or make work more effective. Our focus is practical application, responsible implementation and human-led decision-making.

04

Community & Social Impact

We look for considered ways to contribute strategic thinking, creative expertise and practical support to local businesses, community organisations and purpose-led initiatives where there is a meaningful fit.

Impact & Responsibility Report 2026

Growth should create value beyond the organisations we work with.

Studio Orris approaches responsible business as part of how we operate: community contribution, access to professional expertise, inclusive workplaces, responsible technology and the standards we apply to our own practice.

During 2026 our contribution extended beyond commercial engagements. We supported charitable fundraising with in-kind digital services, provided complimentary consultation to emerging SMEs across Queensland and Taiwan, and took part in workplace inclusion initiatives in Taipei. The report brings those efforts together: what we contributed, where, what it represented, and where we intend to do more.

Our approach

Responsible business, built into the work.

We do not treat responsibility as a separate campaign. We see it as part of how a modern consultancy should operate: being useful to the communities around us, widening access to expertise, creating inclusive workplaces, using technology responsibly and being clear about how impact is measured.

Our 2026 activity is organised around four areas.

  1. Community & social impactSupporting initiatives that create practical community benefit.
  2. SME & emerging business supportMaking strategic advice more accessible to early-stage and growing businesses.
  3. People, inclusion & workplace equityContributing to more inclusive workplaces and better people practices.
  4. Responsible technology, quality & governanceApplying clear standards to the systems, information and decisions behind our work.

Community & social impact

Contributing professional capability where it can create more value.

In 2026, Studio Orris contributed an in-kind website refresh and digital support package valued at approximately A$2,500 to support charitable fundraising activity connected with Challenge DV and ABS Business Sales.

The contribution was designed to strengthen the digital presence supporting the initiative and help the fundraising effort communicate more effectively with its audience.

The associated event raised approximately A$10,000 for the cause. That is the wider event total and should not be read as a direct cash donation by Studio Orris. Our role was to contribute professional capability: the skills we apply in commercial work, used to strengthen a community initiative with a broader social purpose.

SME & emerging business support

Making strategic advice more accessible.

Throughout 2026, Studio Orris provided complimentary consultations to emerging SMEs and founders across Queensland and Taiwan, covering brand positioning, digital presence, business strategy, growth, systems, operations and people, depending on what each organisation needed.

For an early-stage business, the cost of specialist advice can be a real barrier. Our aim was not to replace a long-term advisory engagement, but to provide useful direction at the moments a founder or small team needed clarity most.

People, inclusion & workplace equity

Building stronger workplaces requires more than policy.

In Taipei, Studio Orris participated in LGBTQ+ equality and inclusion initiatives during the 2026 Pride period, contributing to conversations around inclusion, workplace culture and equitable people practices.

Our participation also connected with HR-focused training and workshop activity in Taipei, supporting organisations and professionals considering how workplace systems, leadership behaviour and people practices can create more inclusive environments.

We believe inclusion is most meaningful when it becomes part of how teams are managed, how policies are applied and how people experience work day to day. Our People & Culture work continues to reflect that view: helping organisations strengthen culture, improve HR practices and make more considered people decisions.

Responsible technology, quality & governance

Trust is built into the systems behind the business.

As Studio Orris expands its work across CRM, data, automation, digital platforms and connected business systems, responsible technology becomes increasingly important. Our approach is guided by five principles.

Where third-party infrastructure or platforms are used, their independent assurance and security standards form part of how we assess suitability for client work.

Five principles

  1. Privacy by designCollect and use only the information required for a legitimate business purpose.
  2. Human oversightAI and automation should support judgement, not remove accountability from important decisions.
  3. Secure infrastructureUse appropriately governed technology providers and secure infrastructure for CRM, data and digital systems.
  4. Quality managementApply consistent processes, review and documented standards across how work is delivered.
  5. Clear accountabilityMake ownership, permissions and responsibilities explicit across systems, projects and data.

Sustainability

A practical approach to responsible growth.

For Studio Orris, sustainability is broader than a single environmental metric. It includes how we work, the systems we choose, the resources we use and whether the solutions we create are designed to endure.

Our working model supports a digital-first approach where appropriate, reducing unnecessary travel, duplicated production and avoidable physical material. We favour reusable systems, durable digital assets and infrastructure that can evolve rather than be repeatedly replaced.

Responsible practice is a continuing process. As our operations grow across Australia and Asia-Pacific, we intend to improve the quality of our measurement around suppliers, digital infrastructure, travel, resource use and community contribution.

Looking forward

From contribution to consistency.

Our next step is to make responsible business more systematic and measurable across the Studio Orris operating model. For 2027, our priorities are to:

  1. Continue complimentary consultation for emerging SMEs in Australia and Taiwan, with clearer tracking of hours and outcomes.
  2. Continue supporting selected community and charitable initiatives where Studio Orris expertise can create practical value.
  3. Expand workplace inclusion and people-practice activity across our People & Culture work.
  4. Strengthen responsible AI, data and technology governance across internal systems and client solutions.
  5. Introduce clearer measurement around suppliers, digital infrastructure, travel and resource use.
  6. Publish an annual Impact & Responsibility Report with consistent year-on-year measures.

Methodology

Transparency matters.

The purpose of the report is to distinguish clearly between direct financial contribution, in-kind professional services, pro-bono time and wider fundraising outcomes.
